TEHRAN - The winners of the third Asian Medical Awards were announced by the Asian Football Confederation.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the winners of the third Asian Medical Awards in a letter. The awards will be presented to the winners during a ceremony during the 7th Asian Football Medicine Congress, which will be held in Qatar in March this year. 11 of the 34 finalists who won these awards are the representatives introduced from our country, which shows the high level of capability, knowledge, experience and medical power of Iran football in Asia.
Dr. Amin Norouzi, Medical Advisor to the President of the Football Federation, after more than 25 years of service in the field of football medicine, won the Asian Medical Gold Medal and the AFC Football Medicine Merit Award to Dr. Razi, Chairman of the Committee. Will be donated by the Football Federation of Iran.
Dr. Bahar Hassan Mirzaei, Head of the Medical Department of the Football Federation, also won the Young Asian Football Officer Award.
Also, Dr. Parhan Khanlari, the doctor of the men's national adult football team, won the gold medal in Asian football.
The silver medal of Asian football medicine will be awarded to Dr. Abbas Rabiee, physician of Sepahan club and Dr. Alireza Shahab, physiotherapist of the men's national adult football team, after more than 20 years of service in the field of football medicine.
Asian Football Medicine Bronze Medal to Dr. Zohreh Haratian, President of IFMARC, and Dr. Alireza Haghighat, Physician of Persepolis Team, Dr. Tohid Seif Barghi, Medical Officer and Control of Asian Football Doping, Dr. Kaveh Sotoudeh, Member of the Medical Committee of the Football Federation and Meysam Alipour, The former physiotherapist of Persepolis Club will be awarded for more than 15 years of service in the field of football medicine.
It should be noted that the Asian Football Confederation has been inviting member federations for three terms and wants to introduce the best doctors and physiotherapists working in their country's football who are qualified in the above 5 fields to receive medical awards in Asian football.
The Medical Committee of the Football Federation, while informing the public, invited all doctors and physiotherapists working in football to send their resumes for review and introduce the qualified individuals to the Asian Football Confederation. Fourteen people submitted their resumes to the committee, 12 of whom were identified as eligible during a follow-up by the medical committee, and 11 of them were nominated by the Secretary-General of the Federation to compete for the awards. Receiving these awards were valuable, which shows the high level of knowledge and ability of physicians and physiotherapists working in Iranian football.
It is hoped that other capable and knowledgeable physicians and physiotherapists in this field, while continuing their service to the country's football, which will lead to improving the health of players and football and improving the performance and success of Iran in the field of football in Asia and the world, during The coming years will succeed in receiving these awards.
